The Universal Affiliate Program is an easy way to generate additional revenue from your website. Once you become a member we will provide you with a special link (banner or logo) to add to your website promoting our brand. Each time a visitor clicks on that link and completes a rental with Universal you will be paid commission! It's as simple as that.

How does the Universal Rent a Car.com Affiliate program work?

You simply add a pre-approved link to Universal Rent a Car.com on your website. Each time one of your visitors clicks on that link and completes the rental reservation process at Universal-Rent-A-Car.Com, you earn commission!

How will I get paid?

Commission is paid once every month provided your commission totals over 50euros for that period. If your total is under 50euros then your commission will be carried over to the following month. You will be issued a check once the minimum amount is reached.

How much commission can an affiliate earn?

New members earn 6% in commission depending on volume of completed and paid for rentals.

How much does it cost to become a member?

Affiliate membership is absolutely free!

Can anyone become a member?

Universal Rent A Car.Com reserves the right to reject any applicant at their own discretion. There are several restrictions that apply: we do not accept pornographic websites or sites depicting sexually-explicit images, sites promoting violence, illegal activities or any information that may be deemed objectionable. We also do not allow personal websites, search engine paid advertising or Google AdWords on our brand name.

Are afilliates considered Universal Rent a Car.Com sales reps?

Universal Rent a Car.Com and its Affiliates are independent contractors. The Affiliate agreement does not imply in any way that a partnership, franchise, joint venture, agency, sales representative, or employment relationship exists between the parties. As an Afilliate you are not permitted to make any representations or offers on behalf of Universal Rent a Car and you can not make any statement, on your website or otherwise, that would imply that a relationship exists.

Do you provide any waranties?

Universal Rent A Car.Com makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the Affiliate Program. Universal Rent A Car.Com is not responsible for any damages suffered by any customer, including incidental damages or lost profits. Universal Rent A Car.Com makes no claim that the operation of our site or any Affiliate Sites will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we will not be liable for the consequences of any interruptions or errors. All content in the Universal Rent A Car.Com software and Affiliate Program is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security or accuracy.

Promotional images and banners are available on your affiliate page. Once you log in to your account you can find them at the bottom of the page. Please follow the directions carefully! If you do not copy the provided code correctly or alter it in any way your account will not be credited when a sale is made.

Qualifying Sites

UNIVERSAL RENT A CAR.COM reserves the right to refuse Affiliate Program applications. All sites will be reviewed and some sites will not be accepted based on their content. Prohibited site content includes, but is not limited to:

Pornography of any kind. Anything that falls into the category of "adult entertainment" is prohibited.

"Hate" oriented sites.
Animal cruelty or procedures deemed harmful, unnecessary or unnatural to animals.
Any site depicting or describing any type of firearm, fireworks or pyrotechnic devices or supplies.
The sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, live animals, prescription drugs or other controlled substances, hazardous materials, combustibles, or corrosives.
Unsolicited email services of any kind.
Gambling transactions of any kind. These include lottery, raffles, contest sites.
Money-making, work at home, home mailing, multi-level marketing/pyramid schemes, or similar products.
Phone chat lines or psychic readings.
Any form of sex product (eg. viagra, penis/breast enlargement) growth hormones, nutrients, wonder drugs, or human growth hormones.

Additionally, sites may not:

Violate the privacy, publicity or personal rights of others.
Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others -i.e., copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, plagiarism, software piracy, patents, music, images, or other proprietary or property right.
Sites using defamatory or abusive language. Sites may not contain any material that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, vulgar, hateful, racial or otherwise objectionable, including, without limitation, any material that encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.
Sites that distribute viruses or worms or provide information on how to distribute them or any site promoting any form of illegal computer activities.
Any illegal or questionable activities. Universal Rent A Car.Com reserves the right to terminate your Affiliate Program membership if any activities are found to be harmful or questionable in any way.
You may not use your Affiliate link as an entryway to pay for your own purchases.

Can a website outside Greece become a affiliate?

Yes but threre are a few exceptions. We are constantly adding more countries that are eligible to become members. Please contact us for specific information.

Where should I place the Universal link or banner on my website?

You should place the Universal Rent A Car.Com links or banners on your home page or other high-traffic page, in a highly visible location like your page header area, or where you would normally place a banner.

How do I know how much commission I have earned?

How do I know which bookings have come from my website?

Each time a visitor clicks on the Universal Rent a Car.Com link on your website and is directed to our website, a cookie is stored on their computer which uniquely identifies your site. The cookie stays active for 30 days which means that if the visitor comes back to our site within 30 days and completes a rental you will still earn commission.

I don't have a website. Can I still apply to become an affilliate?

Absolutely! Even if you don't have a website you can still use a text link in your email signature.
